When I was 17, I had a letter published in Philosophy Now magazine. (That says a lot about my teenage years.) The letter, which the editors entitled ‘Philosophies about Children’, is still available online.
Being published, no matter how short the letter, was a turning point for me; I discovered the thrill of communicating ideas through words. When you leave considered ideas on a page, you never know who may end up reading them… nor what their reaction may be!
